Day 1: Marrakech – High Atlas Mountains – Ait Ben Haddou – Draa Valley – Zagora

Your adventure begins with an early morning departure from Marrakech, heading south across the spectacular High Atlas Mountains. Travel through the breathtaking Tizi n’Tichka Pass (2,260 m), enjoying panoramic views of valleys, Berber villages, and rugged peaks.

The first major stop is the UNESCO World Heritage Site of Ait Ben Haddou, Morocco’s most famous ksar. Explore its ancient earthen architecture and learn about its role as a backdrop for international films and historical trade routes.

After lunch, continue toward Agdz and the lush Draa Valley, home to Morocco’s longest river and endless palm groves. This region offers a striking contrast between green oases and arid desert landscapes.

Pass through Ouarzazate, often called the “Hollywood of Morocco,” where you may stop to visit the Taourirt Kasbah or enjoy a panoramic view of the city.
