Your desert adventure begins with an early morning departure from Marrakech, crossing the spectacular High Atlas Mountains via the scenic Tizi n’Tichka Pass (2,260 m). Along the way, enjoy panoramic views of mountain landscapes, Berber villages, and winding valleys.

Stop to visit the UNESCO-listed Ait Ben Haddou, Morocco’s most famous ksar, renowned for its traditional earthen architecture and its role in historic caravan routes and international films. After lunch, continue to Ouarzazate, often called the “Gateway to the Sahara,” where you may visit the Taourirt Kasbah.

In the afternoon, drive through the Valley of Roses and along the legendary Road of a Thousand Kasbahs, arriving in the dramatic Dades Valley. Check into your hotel, enjoy dinner, and relax amid stunning rock formations and river views.

Day 2: Dades Valley – Todra Gorges – Erfoud – Merzouga Desert

After breakfast, depart the Dades Valley toward the impressive Todra Gorges, where sheer limestone cliffs rise dramatically on both sides of a narrow canyon. Enjoy free time to walk through the gorge and admire the scenery.

Continue through desert towns and oases toward Erfoud, known for its fossil workshops and date palms. As the landscape changes, the first golden dunes of Erg Chebbi appear on the horizon, signaling your arrival in Merzouga.

In the late afternoon, set off on a camel trek across the Erg Chebbi dunes, witnessing a magical sunset over the Sahara. Upon arrival at your desert camp, enjoy traditional Berber hospitality, dinner, and live music around the campfire beneath a star-filled sky.

Day 3: Merzouga – Draa Valley – Ouarzazate – Marrakech

Begin the journey back to Marrakech, passing through desert landscapes, mountain villages, and scenic valleys. Travel through parts of the Draa Valley, stopping for photos and short breaks along the way.

Cross the High Atlas Mountains once again via the Tizi n’Tichka Pass before arriving in Marrakech in the evening, marking the end of your 3-day desert tour.
